Philosophy

At Wildwood, we believe in an individualized education suited for each student. Finding out 'what makes them tick' and then allowing students the freedom to both learn and express their learning in the style that best suits them.

 

We pull from a wide variety of disciplines and philosophies for a 'best of breed' approach to education. This includes IB (International Baccalaureate), Finnish Educational Philosophy, Waldorf, Montessori, and much more.

 

Our approach to most lessons is project-based with a cross-curricular/thematic approach. This means when we study Ancient Egypt, the theme repeats across the curriculum in geography, history, literature, math, and culture.

 

Above all, we believe that learning should be stimulating and fun and we do our best to instill in our students a 'love of learning for learning's sake'.
