School and Class Sizes

At Wildwood, a small school population and class sizes are imperative to our philosophy and culture.

Our school population will generally range between 32 - 38 students. It's imperative to keep these numbers for an expeditionary program as well as keeping a close-knit and positive school community.

Adolescents, we believe, thrive in a smaller school and class so educators can understand their needs and personalities. It allows for our students to form deeper and more meaningful relationships with both peers and educators. It also allows for more guidance and oversight as adolescents, in modern society, are increasingly subjected to age inappropriate stresses and pressures.

Our academic class sizes typically range have 12 - 14 students per educator (our math classes have an educator to student ratio of 1 to 6) and our experiential classes typically have a range of 5 - 7 students per educator.
