Rogue River Camping and Rafting Trip

This trip is optional and not included in tuition.

Dates: July 16th - 20th.

Students and Parents: Wildwood students and parents can attend this trip. 5th and 6th graders must have a parent attend.

Maximum # of attendees: 24

Equipment: Camping equipment (complete list available upon request).

Cost: $1500.00 per person. Amount due at time of signing. Cancellation (with a $250.00 penalty) until April 14th.

Location: The Rogue River in Oregon.

Rafting and camping on the Rogue River

Spend 4 days on this historic, wild and scenic river in Southwest Oregon. With wildlife, geology, and history abound, this watery playground is perfect for a fun family adventure. With professional raft guides and Wildwood teachers, this trip offers the perfect balance of river time, side hikes, educational opportunities, and relaxing camp time. Unlike most other rafting trips, this trip will offer a rich academic experience as your Wildwood guides teach about history, geology, biology, hydrology, astronomy, as well as utilizing the Wilderness First Aid and Survival Skills taught at Wildwood. Send your student with Wildwood or join us and bring the whole family!

Itinerary:

Sunday, July 16th: Depart Wildwood at 8am and drive vans to the Almeda campground. Spend the night.

Monday, July 17th - Wednesday, July 19th: Start early on the morning of Monday, July 17th and raft down the Rogue River with expert guides. This is more of a beginner trip with a couple of Class IV rapids.  A complete description can be found at https://www.arta.org/rogue/.

Thursday, July 20th: Depart rafts and drive back to Wildwood. Expect to arrive between 5pm and 7pm.
