Everything you need to know for the first day/week of school!

First and foremost... school starts on Tuesday, September 4th at 8:25! The doors will be open at 8:15 (but we'll probably down there working away... we all have those first-day jitters).

Remember that meals are not provided at Wildwood - your child needs a lunch and a refillable water bottle every day. Our upcoming trip to Ekone Ranch on Wednesday, September 5th is an exception: students will need to bring a lunch and snack for the first day ONLY. All other meals (dinner on Wednesday, all meals on Thursday, and breakfast and lunch on Friday) will be provided.

Ah... uniforms. They make our lives so much easier, don't they? We are aware of the challenges that some of you are facing with getting your child into their uniform for the first day of school.

This message is intended to provide more information about the uniform timeline and appropriate attire in the interim.

There has been a delay with shipping, and some families are still waiting for their uniforms to arrive. As long as each family has placed their order, we have been told by French Toast that uniforms should arrive imminently and everyone should be fully outfitted soon.

In the meantime, we ask that students show up to school next week dressed appropriately for outdoor work and play. We will be outside for most of the four days, and students will want to be able to run around and hike comfortably. This attire will look like (but is not limited to)

  • School uniform

  • Athletic shoes or sports sandals

  • Track pants or sports shorts - both of which are long, loose, and comfortable

  • Tshirts (preferably Wildwood tshirts) - Joe is on top of this and will be posting information regarding pick-up shortly

  • Sweatshirts, sweaters, and windbreakers (preferably Wildwood)

Most of all, it is important that no one goes out and buys another new outfit - the uniforms are coming!

Lastly, but no less important, please remember that cell phones are not allowed at school or on field trips. It's best just to leave them at home.
