This an exceptional article from NPR on the devastating effects that social isolation due to Covid-19 is having on many young people.


A startling figure is that 8% of American teens attempt suicide each year and almost half of people aged 18 - 29 report feelings of anxiety or depression.


It's becoming more and more apparent how important physical connection and contact is for young people and the Covid-19 crisis is amplifying the need for social activity and peer support.
