Math 2 largely covers pre-algebra and adheres to Common Core standards. Most Wildwood students entering 7th grade will be placed into Math 2.

We continue to assess students with daily assignments, bi-weekly quizzes, and comprehensive tests.

 

Math 2 incorporates all of Math 1 content plus greatest common factor, least common multiple, order of operations, distributive property, verbal experssions, solving equations and inequalities, graphing equations and inequalities, exponents, scientific notation, proportion word problems, fractions/decimals/percent relationships, markup/discount/tax calculations, simple interest, plotting, midpoint, slope, graphing equations and systems of equations, Plane figures: angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, transformations, area, surface area and volume of solid figures, right triangles, squares, square roots, Pythagorean Theorem, beginning polynomials, more statistics, and more probability.
